Headed out this morning, fished from about 5-7:30, wasn't marking much at all and the fleas were pretty bad. Caught one 8lb chinook amd lost another that felt about the same 60 feet down over about 150 fow. Was thinking of going out again tomorrow but might let it pick up a bit until I put more $ in the meter. Anyone else out there this morning? I didn't see many boats..

Ya the last time I bought line I'm pretty sure they were out of heavier stuff so I think I may actually only have 25lb on at least a couple of my rods. Do you ever use flea flicker line? Or do you know if they even have it anymore? How did you make out when you were out there Shank?

Yep, I have flea flicker line. bought 4 1000 yards spools a few years ago.....it works, but I do not like the oval line as much as you need to be more careful when setting into releases.

not certain if still on market now or not

25 pound test will not keep those fleas off, that's for sure

hopefully some colder water will get blown in soon and that may help

oh, and boated 12 fish, mix of coho, steelhead and chinook.1 at 25 all on mag spoons

Thanks man, I think I may just try some bigger line next time I'm respooling. Also, nice work on the fish.. sounds like you really know how to get them!

I may know how, but that doesn't mean I don't run into tough days.

set up wrong area, wrong colors.....learn something on every outing or else might as well pack it in

Very true, that's why it's called "fishing", not "catching"
