So plans got messed up for going to couch so I stayed local and hit up sturgeon. Was on the lake before the sun came up(645 or so). Drilled a couple holes with my new hand auger( man that was easy compared to me 15 year old never sharpened blades) lines in in no time.
Ice report ()is pretty steady at between 5.5 inches and just under 7" I drilled about 12 holes straight out about 1/3 across the lake. A crack separated at shore during the day leaving a 10 inch opening right off shore. Other than that it's nice ice.
No fish.lol

Down on the south end of the lake were the current is opened up again after the last 3 days of warm weather. Im sure out on the lake is still good were theres no current.
Pigeon and Chemong are same thing. Chemong has a few good sections of open water both north and south of the causeway.
