The south end of Chemong had a skim of ice on it this morning when I drove through. Some more cold nights coming this week too.

It's better that the cold is here now ,the lakes will be ready to freeze up when the real cold gets here . Bring on the early ice season.

Skim of ice on Weslemkoon Lake this weekend as well

Yesterday when I left for work, there was a nice fog coming out of the water indicating it's still quite warm. This morning, both boats frozen in at my dock. I've never had ice this early. Must be global warming.

its getting up to 7*C on Saturday, I imagine it'll disappear.

Here on Lake scugog and a few other kawartha lakes have been capped over for a little while now. Lets hope we gain a few inches with this cold arctic air and survive the thaw. Although im not very hopeful as its supposed to rain a lot. Crossing my fingers the weather man is wrong
