Deer closed in our area Sat and after seeing 4 different bucks multiple times over the last 13 days with no shots I considered it a good string season ….only saw does on 2 days of the last week.... none previous to that in the since Dec 1 .
So I go out on the deck for my usual morning ritual Sun morning and what do I hear ...a doe literally screaming estrus bleats non stop for over two hours …with bucks answering .... I was amazed as to how close it sounded to the can call....
Seems the deer were all over the map for the rut this yr ...anyone else find this?

The doe #'s =deer #'s have declined in our area to 0 does this hunting season due to bears. The cruising bucks do still come around looking but leave as fast as they arrive. So yes they are all over the map. I hunt every day from Oct 1 until my buck tag is filled.
