Gonna say that’s a typo on there part. More than likely 100. But you never know. When they make a change it’s usually in red. Nice catch James
Dave
Thinking the same.....surely it can't be ten.....makes no sense that they would have 50 or 25 in a zone and only ten as a provincial possession limit.....great catch James.....my money is on Dave and that it is 100.

Could one of our Chinese brothers check the regs in Chinese. I looked and there is a 100 limit on one species, all the others match. but I’m assuming it’s perch . Prob only screwed up the English version of the regs.
Dave
The Chinese version on the MNR site at this moment is still the 2018 Version (Published: January 2018), and it is 'Yellow Perch 100'

And I wonder next time if you on Simcoe ice fishing kept more than 10 perch, and a CO armed with this 2019 Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary, and stop you....
The Summary is just that & has no legal authority.

I'm stuck on "which have been harvested from more than one Zone". If its not a typo I think the point is something to do with how many you have from different zones. Which would seem hard to determine if they're all lined up in the freezer.

It’s all much ado about nothing. If it was a legit change it would be red. Daily limits would change as well. Time to realize those that write and print these things are human and prone to error from time to time. I’ve emailed the mnr and let them know as I’m sure others have.

In that case, I would think this summary (either hard copy distributed to retail outlets or online soft copy) is 100% complete waste of time and money and resource and everything else in between, or no? After all, it has no legal authority. What would it be good for?:-)
And since this summary has no legal authority: If at a lake for some fish species the daily catch & possession LEGAL limit is 2, but on the SUMMARY it says the limit is 4. And if I as an idiot didn't consult the LEGAL document, but instead just relied on this SUMMARY, and kept 4, and got charged, then I have lost the case 100% of time. Don't think I could win the case anyway if I'd try defense based on whatever said on a summary that has no legal authority.:-)

James if you look at page one of the summary on the lower right side you will see the disclaimer stating this is not a legal document but just a summary.

Thanks, and yes I understand you. I am just sayin' it's like this summary is of no use (it's useless:-)

James, Obviously a typo as many have suggested. The Zone 16 Zone Wide Seasons and Limits section clearly states on page 118 that the daily limit for yellow perch is 50 for a sportfishing licence and 25 for a Conservation tag. More specifically under the Waterbody Exceptions on page 121 (Lake Simcoe) it confirms that the yellow perch limit is S-50 on a daily basis with a possession limit of 100 and C-25 with a possession limit of 50.
I picked up a 2019 Summary recently and was amazed to discover that this edition runs close to 150 pages!! I can't imagine trying to read and digest the entire Regulations. With the size of the Summary, it's no wonder a typo or two could be present. I can't agree with you that a typo renders the summary useless but it certainly requires very close scrutiny to accurately determine the regulations for whatever body of water you may be fishing.
