I hunted north 8 days I think and saw nothing this was bow hunting. Of the 33 or so deer we saw all were local. I really like going north rifle hunting, but haven't seen deer in a long time. It hard to keep going up for a week not seeing anything, and then see lots locally bow hunting. Most of the deer I see locally are in December. This is the first year boy and I have even seen deer before December and we both got one in October.
I agree. I live in the North Bay area and haven't seen many deer over the past few years in the bush, (there are a lot in the city area). During small game season, I have seen a lot of wolf tracks and the birds and rabbits have been getting harder to find.
I know there was talk about expanding the wolf/coyote trapping and hunting areas which would account for less of all species.

I have only ever seen wolves once when in WMU08 few years back. I was hunting on private property with permission. Landowner next door came to kick me out thinking I was trespassing. We talked and he ended up giving me permission for his property as well. I told him that I saw a pack of 4 wolves go by, I just watched them. He said I should have shot them, hates them. He had US guys big buck hunting at the time. Like coyote down here in the south, no farmer likes them either, want me to shoot as many as I see. They all have their place, just not in too large of numbers.
