So I was out on Cook’s Bay January 13 the same day Yamaha had that big crack open up on him, We could hear, and feel that crack coming across the Lake for 30 seconds at least before it hit us,It seemed like it was coming from the north side of the lake because we could hear it moving towards us, Anyways, my buddy was running for the door and I crap my pants, but the big picture was, is that pressure systems seem to shut down my fish, I had the camera down all morning and I had groups of seven to eight 10 to 12 inch fish moving in but they would not hit after that system moved in, I had the same thing happened to me at Quinte the other day, the pressure changed , the cracks started happening and the fish shut off .... anyone else noticing this?

I ve seen evidence over the course of my fishing trips where pressure drops and rises have created cracking, On an abrupt change in the weather, tupically youll hear cracking

I’ve learned over the years that fishing Is about playing the odds, everything you can put in your favour will help ,but you have to play the odds with the weather to,its the hardest part, and usually it dictates your catch ratio..

Some times there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way they react to things. I was "working" a fish on the weekend and the ice was banging and popping pretty good. An ice quake rolled on by and I couldn't believe the fish wasn't spooked by it. Other times, you can shift a boot and they take off like something is shooting at them.
