Coming down to Simcoe on the 25-27 weekend just wanted to check in on the ice conditions on cooks bay probably going to be fishing out of gilford but wouldn’t mind getting out off lefroy if it’s possible any mew info I greatly appreciated it’s an 8 hour drive to get to Simcoe for us and if the ice isn’t safe we don’t want to risk anything.

Thanks all,
CW

YouTube the blue ice report.

He has all the latest information on that side of the lake with almost daily updates. . You should be good to by then for the areas you asked about. Huts are starting and already out on the bay. Good luck

By the sounds of it cooks bay should be ok - just don't venture out too far - theyre right about the reports of cracks in the ice - 2 people were rescued already.

you'll be ok by then the way things are going ...theres lots of safeish ice to fish all around the lake ....getting to certain areas especially the deeper ones arent ideal yet in a few places so check with an operator in the area to get an idea of conditions.
