I was out last Saturday Jan 12th and the ice from Keswick side was 5 inches of clear black ice. Lots of cracking as we fished throughout day till about 3pm.
Has anybody been out off Keswick east side this week, I am interested to see if ice has built up?

I'm coming up next Tuesday with a friend to fish Cooks Bay for the first time without going to an outfitter, and I would love to fish the Keswick side.
However, I can't find ANY information on where you can park.
I'm 71, with bad knees, and need fairly close access to the water, and am quite willing to pay to park for close access.
Can anyone give me any tips before Tuesday on where I can get parking in Keswick??

Thanks for the reply. Perch bite was okay last Saturday. It going to be really cold this weekend so it will be interesting to see if the fish bite will be neutral.

I was out on Tuesday off Rayners dock in about 30 feet. Ice was around 10 inches thick, mostly glare bare ice with patches of snow . You need cleats to walk out unless you are ready to slip and fall. Pressure ridge running from end of dock south to Davey point. Some places 2 or 3 feet high ice piles. A few flat spots wide enough for quad or car to cross over. I used my spud to check crack, ice was solid under a couple inches water which had come through. Today, Thursday, a couple cars parked on ice at the dock area. If parking on ice try to leave space between vehicles to distribute weight. Looks like a cold nasty weekend, take care.
