My wife is getting me an Ozonics for my b-day, anyone in there uses them? I was wondering what are your experience with it so far and did you ever have a deer spooked by the sent of the Ozone?

I haven't used one, but a buddy won't go into his tree stand without one. He sees deer all the time and takes the one he wants. I have thought about getting one, but the cost stops me.

I have one and think they work great. Last year I had a doe directly downwind of me at 25 yards. She was clearly smelling something in the wind, but after a pause she kept moving in her original direction. They don't eliminate smell, but from my experience they mask the human odors really well.

I bought one and have shot two deer while using it.. they kind of work but I’ve found only when its windy and have some natural noise in a spot where say I’m 100 yards from where I expect deer to .. the fans in the the things make a distinctive humm that I have had spook deer as well if they are say in bow range so.. I think they have a time and a place but honestly I wouldn’t buy another one.

Thanks for the reviews on ozionics . I believe in scent control but wind direction and movement more .Cigarette smoke has only been a concern to me when I run out .

Lookit I'm a scent control freak at times . I heard all the BS forever as a trapper about laying down steel . One of the best areas is along rail lines and steel for carnivors . FACT

Its wind folks to get busted by a deer going back and forth feeding and bedding These critters live amongst us year round . Do you honestly think they have NOT smelled your stink before ?

My son and i had a doe directly down wind for over 20min with her nose straight up in the air. She could smell something but never spooked.
That was at 20yds.
Only time i have been winded while using one was during a swirling wind on the edge of a field..
.
Its part of my scent control regiment, feel like im wasting my time without it.

Never believed in any of these things.

If you pattern down your deer in your area, scent down and play the winds right. You won’t have any issues harvesting deer.

Most important thing i always keep In mind is setting up your stand/blind into what ever predominant winds are in your favour for that spot.

I would spend the money on Satelite cameras before I purchase ozonics .
Saves you from spreading your scent around every time you check your cameras espically when the rut is in affect !
