Looking to switch to a Flemish string on my Excalibur. Heard great things about Boo and he’s here in Ontario unlike Danny miller in the states where I may run into duties etc. Any of you guys get a string off him before. Or do any of you guys have any idea of anyone else around making strings? I do a lot of target practice and want to have a back up for my back up. Also heard Flemish are quieter. Thanks.

Danny makes all the strings for Excalibur.Boo strings are great but he’s got a long waiting list, you would have to email him for a date he could get one to you! What bow do you have? I have a couple of extra Boo strings

Matrix grizzly. I’m in no rush. I have an extra string. Just looking to see if the boo is worth it. How did u find them to perform. Sound reduction. Speed? Are they worth it?

He’s a friend of mine and I haven’t shot any of my bows with his strings on them for the last year and a half or more. If you go to the Excalibur forum there are a couple of great string makers selling strings. Don’t think you have to worry about any duty from buying from the states. The strings that I have are for a Matrix and I believe they are made out of force 10 material.he made up a bunch for a charity but didn’t put a serving on them so I bought 5 for $5 each and had another buddy serve them. If you would like one send me your info and when I can I’ll send you one

Looks good and your welcome! You can always leave the bow cocked overnight or a couple of days to if you like. Was starting to think Canada post might of lost it.

Put it just above brace height and cocked this morning before work actually. That’s one great thing about recurves. Being able to leave them cocked for more than a few hours. Thanks.

Got a chance to shoot it yesterday. Seemed to shoot pretty much where the last one shot. Maybe slightly faster FPS as I was just a tad high. I didn’t notice much difference in sound. The serving on this string looks very well done and also much thicker. Thanks so much Mr Meat. I also polished the latches with 2000 grit sand paper to help prevent wear.
