Woke up a bit later than expected Sunday morning . Walked out to my spot which is about 4-5 minutes from the camp . I was in the blind for all of 10 minutes when I pulled the slate out and heard a gobble about 40 -50 yards away in the Bush. Patiently waited and called again .. sure enough this Tom comes out right up to my hen decoy . 10 yd shot . 7 inch beard 1 inch spurs

Really nice bird, you took all the fun out of hunting, you just shooting. Happens that way some times. Good hunt.
I've been tracking this flock for about 4 weeks on 5 different trail cams . I've got their pattern pretty down pat and know when and where they will be throughout the day most of the time.
Hours and hours of going thru cam footage for a 15-20 minute hunt. Love it

Homework is the backbone of any good hunt. Enjoy your bounty rayray, it’s well deserved

Good luck this weekend. I'm off again tomorrow and another rain day so will be back at it myself. Not supposed to be much of a rain, but don't want to drive the hour with the boat to find it pouring. So turkey it is.
Don't know about the area you hunt, but weather forecast looks good for the weekend for you, I hope.
