As someone who has always been interested in aircraft, I found this very interesting.

It all started when we were in the Maritimes earlier this month and while my wife was playing the fiddle at a Seniors Centre, I found a copy of a 2011 Mechanix Illustrated and there was an article about Stratolaunch. It is designed to take rockets up to 30-40,000 feet and launch them from there.

In 2011, things were still in the concept stage and it was planned for the first flight in 2015.

I thought, I don't remember seeing anything about that, so I did a Google search and found that it flew for the first time just last month.
