Good bounce back by Bruins after botching game two. Rask solid in the first ten minutes to hold his team in the game. Binnington chased out of net for first time since appointed as Blues starter. Bruins first line starting to find their stride in this series. Boston still managed to put one in their own net,... again,... for the fourth time in 3 games,
It's far from over but Blues under some pressure to win game 4. Anticipating an intense game on Monday night. Will Binnington bounce back with a stellar performance?,...pressure situation for the youngster.

Bruins are in their heads now and think they will be tuff to beat in game 4..A win in game 4 will probably mean Boston will rap it up on home ice in game 5.. Boston plays their best under pressure not like the leafs who under perform in any big games.. I hear a rather large lady humming and getting ready to sing...

Could not agree more about Binnington. If he can bounce back, then we have a series. If not, the Bruins will hoist the cup. Good luck Jackpot.... Go Blues !

Horrible game 4 for the Bruins. Scored on 43 seconds into the game and never really recovered. Sure, the short handed Boston goal was a bonus but afterwards they played as if they were in a pre-season game. Blues pounded them without any pushback and certainly out skated the game 4 Baby Bears.
It was like I was watching a completely different Bruins team from game 3 to game 4.
Rask gave them a chance to stay in the game and has been their best player by far. Binnington was never really tested but he did bounce back nicely from game 3.
Boston is in a must win situation on Thursday,... if they lose and go back to St.Louis down 3 games to 2 I believe their chances of winning game 6 are very narrow.
Bruins desperately need to show more grit and respond to the Blues hitting game,... or start to SKATE and incorporate some consistent SPEED back into their game.
We need Kevan Miller, Grzelcyk, Chara back to throw some weight around and detune some Blues to an F & D flat.
Game 5 obviously crucial and a turning point for each team.
Hoping I don't have to wheel as many cotton filled pucks at my TV screen on Thursday,... which is much more cost effective than pitching the thing out in the back forty.

Well, thats it in my books. Pretty sure the Bruins won't be heading back to Beantown for game 7. At best I'll give them a 25% chance of forcing a game 7,. This has to be the softest Bruins team I've seen in a cup final. Not willing to pay the price and leave it all on the ice. No guts,..no glory. It's not a matter of them losing but more a matter of how they lose. Why Bruce Cassidy sat Backes as a healthy scratch is puzzling to say the least,... we need his heavy hitting contribution against the Blues. Playing the last 10 minutes in the third period just isn't going to cut it,... for two consecutive games now. Refs missed a couple cheap headshots by the Blues,...but hey, if they're not going to call them then take a number and dish it back,...don't whine about it. Binnington looking very focused since he was pulled in game 3.
Chara and Rask are off the hook being the only two that put it all on the line for Boston. Chara,... man of guts and steel playing with a busted jaw. Too bad the rest of his teammates didn't get inspired by his dedication and effort to play like a true warrior.
I shut the TV off after the second period due to shear disgust of the lacklustre performance,... their at home,... in a must win game,... with 17,000+ fans in the building,... what am I missing here? LOL. Saved the TV from actually throwing real pucks rather than the cotton filled ones at it,... think I threw my shoulder out though over the last two games with the cotton pucks.
I know this Bruins team all to well and said to the wife before St.Louis scored their first that the Bruins were going to drop this game,... actually could have called it 10 or so minutes into the first period,... they're too predictable at certain times.
Anyways, don't see St.Louis blowing their opportunity to win the cup at home. Looks like they will get their revenge after 49 years.
The Baby Bears will not get the honey this year,... just a sting on the nose.
Debating wether or not to even watch game 6,... blood pressure is rising accumulatively after last two games. Probably best to cast a line on Sunday.
Chevy, looks like the odds of me flying the Blue note avatar is only days away,...unless this works

Chara,... bear of steel and grit. What other sport would you see a player suit up two days after receiving a broken jaw and jump back in the trenches to play a contact sport. Can't think of one myself.

The little spears, slashes, subtle or not so subtle punches to the head, slew footing and border line, if not outright illegal checks the Bruins have been getting away with this entire playoffs, actually for yrs. All designed to rattle the other team's cage so they take penalties.
The Bruins do this sorta thing on purpose to goad players to retaliate, and then dive like soccer players. What's really telling is the entitlement from the coaching staff to have the nerve to preach about discipline after that game. Can't wait for steaming load of BS from Cassidy when they lose on the road. LOL, Neely having a conniption fit because the calls aren't going in his favour was priceless.
Booo hooo for the Brooooooons. Scum organization from top to bottom. Biggest cheapshot artists in the league, lead and mentored by Bepop and Rock Steady, aka Chara and Marchand. Can't wait for Dumbo Don to spew his drivel on national TV, more truculence, more punch pail, more blue collar work ethic, blah, blah, blah.

Sure it goes both ways but to miss that call in the third On Bosak with the slew foot.. Shame Shame. The reffing in this year's playoffs and all the rounds has been just horrible with so many missed calls and even made up calls

That ref should have had his whistle permanently taken away after that game. There's a number of Boston players that utilize the slewfoot regularly and the refs have no problem turning a blind eye.
Honestly, there needs to be another ref, who's mic'ed up off ice making calls. The crap that goes on after the play, at the other end of the ice or just flat out missed calls needs to stop. Or give the lineman the authority to make calls.
What other major league sport changes the rule book from the regular season, to the playoffs, to the Stanley Cup final? MLB? No way. NFL? No way. NBA? There's an argument for home court advantage. You'd be hard pressed to find another.

Blowing off some steam. Of course I want them to succeed and force a game 7 but,... they must regroup in two days and adjust their game plan to be successful. The Blues are doing a tremendous job shutting down the first line as they have yet to score an even strength goal. Boston continues to have great difficulty exiting their zone as the Blues have studied well on the Bruins approach of doing so. In last nights game I counted 5 attempts in one sequence that they failed to clear the puck over their blue-line and in most cases resulting in a scoring chance by the Blues.
The power play has also dried up and for the amount of opportunities St.Louis grants Boston per game they have not executed with any great consistency. Last night on a second period power play the Bruins had to make seven attempts to get the puck into the Blues zone and by that time there were only 30 seconds left on it,... don't even think they tallied a shot. The only exception would be game 3 when they scored 4 power play goals,... so what happened during game 4 and 5,... seems like the Blues adjusted something in their penalty kill to shut the Bruins down.
My point is the coaching staff must adjust the approach to the game when need be to counteract what the opposition is doing and I have not seen those changes being addressed. Boston has had way too many giveaways not just in their own zone but also in the Neutral zone,... adapt or perish as the saying goes.
They also have to play with more grit and execute the physical play and or utilize their speed. It's amazing to to me to watch the Bruins loaf around for 2+ periods then when they score a goal late in the 3rd this hustle, urgency and surge of energy appears out of no where,... where is this game hiding off the initial puck drop in the 1st period? You won't win the cup playing a period of good hockey every now and then or for 10 minutes in the 3rd when your behind the eight ball for a string of games.
Leave it all on the ice with no regrets regardless of if you win or lose,... worrying about getting injured is not an option at this point in the arena of the Stanley Cup Final.
I'm still a dedicated fan and hope you are correct in your prediction of a game 7,... but I still have to be realistic of what I have seen in the last two games. I think you would agree that Boston must score first in game 6 and stop the pattern of playing catch up hockey.
It must be a no holds barred approach to their game on the offensive, defensive and physical levels. Take no prisoners,... kind of like when in a fishing tournament and pursuing the prey, lol.
