So I hear a banging outside the driveway side door. I check and find the resident moocher pawing at the stairs three steps up. I call my son out and he brings her some food. I think I should start calling her his pet, or is it the other way around?

Thanks for all the replies gang. Today she got her front feet to the top of the stairs without a pause. Deer are plentiful here, and very tame; we see them almost everyday, sometimes in numbers. As someone once said, it's not called Deer Island because of the Chipmunks.
