My wife has been waiting three months for her new p.a.l. She called and was told it was in the process. This is a renew not a first time application.Liberal government dragging there feet.Allow lots of time for your renewal.

Took me 4 months to get mine last year when i did the course, there is a way to track it online. Search for tracking pal application. I've heard of people waiting up to 8 months.

Did you do it online? I let mine expire by accident but was still in the 6 month grace period. Applied online last Monday and checked today for fun. Figured it wouldn't have even been processed yet. Site says new one is issued and to call if not received in 2 weeks. First time with the online renewal.

my son forgot to renew his. i told him to check and he could not find it. called local police and reported lost or stolen. Then called to see how to get a new one. They told him that as long as he has no legal issues with guns, he can always just re-apply. i always thought that if you let it expire you had to retake the test. So much for me thinking.

It's 6 months. During those 6 months you can't use your guns. After the 6 months you have to get rid of your guns. You can still apply after that though. They should still have your info on file or if you have your record of taking the course you can use that.
