Coutesy of Longshank

We got a chance to hit the big Erie and try for some eyes and it turned out quite well.

5 for 7 in 3 hours and we had to keep 2 big ones because they just inhaled the baits we presented. Lost my long needle pliers letting loose another fish and so with short ones, the 2 were so deeply hooked plus bleeding from gills we kept them. The smallest one was 4-5 pounds

Know what, I'm happy we did as we cleaned them up once home and "zippered" them and ate one whole one for dinner...Was tasty...

Body baits used were reef runners.
