That picture is hard to believe isn't it.

In a similar vein, a friend of mine recounted an experience he witnessed back in the later 70's at Bronte.
He watched two Italian guys with a 16 ft Sea Nymph and a 25 H.P. Johnson outboard on a boat trailer launch the boat at bronte... off the pier. They actually drove out on to the pier.

It took them well over an hour to launch the boat (if that is what you would call it) with the aid of ropes (and luck) etc. He was laughing so hard he almost peed himself. They did get it in the water without sinking it. He left soon after they got the motor started and sincerely hoped they figured it out the trailer was made to be backed into the water...preferably at boat launch this time.
It must have been a sight. My friend still can't tell the story without laughing.

Cheers,

Ha ha ..he looks like he's hiding from the wife who may still be in the passenger seat...maybe she was nagging all the way to the launch...

I launched at chandos last weekend with a buddy and there were a few guys waiting for me to launch and we chatted a bit. I'm idling out of the launch and I look behind me and buddy dragged his boat well up on the shore and was yelling at his friend for not undoing the winch strap just loosening it. It was a lund rebel I think so not exactly a small boat to beach on a boat launch.... Still don't know how he managed to drag his boat that far on to the ground before figuring out something was wrong.

years ago I was at Windsor City Marina first thing in morning getting fuel, as I had spent the night on the boat. Need fuel to head back across the lake. Guy pumping gas says you mind pumping yourself, I have to go look at something. I figure I should look to so we both go to the ramp. I guy had ramped the boat, trailer and car. He got out with out putting it in park.

This thread brought back some memories. Here is an article from 2007 where the OPP had a little issue launching their boat.

A mistake that "Oh, crap" does not quite cover!!

Looks fine to me, they need to drive another 10-20 feet forward so the boat floats up and can clear the cab, otherwise, all is well!
