i dont believe in ghosts, but i do believe its possible for an intelligent human like animal to evade capture...think of a creature with the intelligence of a man,but with the instincts and senses of a wild animal
smart enough to bury their dead and hide evidence...
the one thing that makes me believe is that they have found footprints miles and miles from anywhere and the casts show dermal ridges which scientists say is next to impossible to fake, plus scientists say that these ridges are extremely similar to apes and humans, but not the same
i must say that the patterson film looks real, you can see the muscles moving in its legs and arms, how could that be faked in the 60's?
also, there are some very respected people that swear to their encounters
the one thing that gives me doubts is that the first prints found in bc was actually faked i love watching documentaries, but some are just ridiculous!every sound is a bigfoot,,,lol

I once had a conversation with a cricket.
Yeah,... me too during the 1960's in San Francisco at the Haight - Ashbury district while listening to the Grateful Dead. His name was Jiminy and we shared fishing stories over a bag of mushrooms.

I am and always have been very interested in Cryptozoology and also love watching the documentaries on the subject. Although a bigfoot creature has existed as is confirmed in the fossil record, it was called Gigantopithecus, it went extinct 300,000 years ago.
Now the big foot legend. I have heard stories of this creature wandering the mountains and forests of the west coast of North America and the cousin Yeti, in the mountains of the Himalayas. I believe the sightings of upright walking furry ape-like creatures are mis-identification, most likely a bear walking upright. Also biology tells us inorder to have a somewhat viable population of animals you need a minimum of 20 individuals to ensure genetic variation and even then, there will be significant inbreeding and the animals will suffer from weak genes and this usually leads to extinction. It is highly unlikely with todays population of humans in the billions and modern technology, plus todays scope of exploration, that we have not discovered this population of big foot / yeti in our wilds. Yes some evidence does draw us to question, most notebly some footprints that scientist have no explaination for. But still I think it is unlikely we have not discovered these creatures, which went extinct 300,000 years ago.
We cant even find a Thylacine in the wild and they only went extinct in the 1930's. I am very interested in animals which have gone extinct and am very saddened to read about the events that lead to extinctions of some of these beautiful and unique creatures that we will never see again. Just last year the Northern White Rino is now effectively extinct with the loss of the last known male of the species. Only 2 Northern white rinos remain, both females. Although there is always some hope that an extinct animal could be rediscovered as proved by the Coelacanth, which was presumed extinct but found again in 1938.
There is work now in the field of genetics to try and bring back some extinct animals, ie. The Mammoth.
A very interesting subject indeed and I continue to read news articles of sightings of extinct animals and admire the work in the field by modern day explorers, in search of answers.

If we are talking gohst pics then this one takes it for me. Sent to me from a friend.
Taken at the former hrc grounds in Orillia. If you know anything about the place, if ghost exists, then it's here. Pic was taken this year, by a guy doing maintenance. Was in there alone and started hearing noises from the place he just came through and seen this.
It's enough o creep me out. Right side of the picture looks very much like a former inmate, howling in a staight jacket.

To take this further into left field, I was in Sudbury last week/weekend and Friday night my dad messaged me to inform me the great Peter Fonda had passed which hit particularly hard as I was with a group of no less than 110 motorcycle enthusiasts... Anyway I get home Sunday and head downstairs to do my laundry and my easy rider poster had come down off the wall. I know it's any definitive proof of anything other than a coincidence but it's sure funny how often those types of things happen.
