Near Bellvue, Nfld. Got our limit of 10 on day 1, in about 1/2 hr on day 2.

Nothing----and I do mean Nothing---beats the taste of cod caught and cooked on the same day.IMO

Brings back memories, '79, of jigging for them in the St Lawrence east of Sept Iles. And bushels of clams.

A short detour the place that was getting so much attention seemed to be in order.

The question "Do you have any beer in cans"----Kimm Ale or otherwise---seemed excessively optimistic in retrospect.

Their guts were so full of capelin----bulging 'beer bellies'----that it was hard to slit the skin on their bellies w/o cutting the stomach itself and have the contents spill out. Some of the capelin looked fresh enough to eat.

For those interested in the collapse of the cod fishery, capelin are near the base of the food chain for many species---whales etc.
