Grease seal was leaking on one of my trailer wheels, pulled things apart and the bearings were fine, so I just replaced the seal.
It is still leaking???
When I bought the new seal at a local auto parts supplier, I noted the new seal was not exactly like the old one. The new one was shallower and would obviously not go as deep into the hub. I commented about this at the time and he said they are making them smaller and just put the new one in to the same depth as the old--level with the outside of the hub.
That is what I did.
Any thoughts or ideas as to why it is still leaking?

Possibility that you have a very fine wear area where the old rubber seal was sitting and the new one doesn't seal it off. Don't know what size you have, I use the double lipped seals that do a much better job made by Chicago Rawhide.

Good News!
Glad the issue is solved..
Now you had me looking at the seals I have. I checked the spares I keep in the boat and the box says "CR", Never knew these were Chicago Rawhide.. Will look closely when I buy in the future.
