I’ve been trying to convince my buddy to bring his boat down there.
My landlord has been out 3x recently with three guys in the boat all limit out.

It's good fishing for sure down there. But he's limited to fishing the pier. As are a few hundred other people. Lol. You might find it extra busy with the trout beginning to come up the river.

was there on Monday ,have a kayak, talked to Joe the bait guy at the pier , says there are no perch this year ,two guys fishing the pier for carp and cats , got one hooked as I was talking to them , snapped their line and big stout pole ,they had no drag on the reel,
Fished the damn , caught 0 ,marked some big boys ,talked to a couple groups coming off the water at the west launch , no fish and the had 3 pics ,say they are scattered because of the wind in the last 2 weeks , nice day to be out ,but had to go buy dinner .
also was going to stay the night , no lodging available, I didn't need to pay Hilton prices just for a bed ,so I went back to Fergus
