I picked up the In Fisherman Tactical Ice Guide that has the new equipment for this coming winter. Seems to come out quicker each year but why not when they already had a snowfall in Kenora. They have and interesting article on the new way guys are using sonar to find fish. The tournament pan fisherman put in their time mapping the lakes and tracking fish down. They seemed worried once more people start using it that the fish population could take a real beating. There are some nice products available to trick out your portable huts in the Reeds catalog that is included.
