Great day fishing on sunday with Gf !
Before heading out, spoke to a gentleman in the park about walleye and he said the past week he has been going out for them. He landed 130 of them . "so there is still 125 of them out there " .
Took the Girl Friend out for the first time fishing . Didn't have a chance to run up river for any Walleye due to the motor having some difficulties starting . Gf looked a bit worried when she was watching me take apart the motor . Finally after putting new plugs , she fired up no problem.
The pictures i have posted was not my fish !!!! It was my Gf first Pike . .. Started off catching many small rock bass. After few hrs have gone by she looks over too me and says Dan i want to catch a huge fish. After half hour , i finally found a nice weed bed. Told her to take the first cast when i stop . Before i put my hand on the key to shut the motor off all i herd was fish, i got one . She was bent al right . She tried handing the rod to me and i told her you are on your own hunnie good luck . after yelling at me and fighting with me and the fish at the same time she now says Dan how do i bring him in . So i helped her out just by netting the fish ...loll
On the way home she says to me Dan after i caught that fish i was shaking . I said why were you scared of it . She said yes that thing had teeth, i never want to go swimming again in here but... can you take me fishing again i like it .
* Caught 6 Pike in total , Gf had the biggest one in that picture !

Cool, I just asked because size of fish can be deceiving in pictures. Looks like that one has quite a big head so will probably fatten up quite a bit over the summer.

yes for sure ! Actually said the same thing when i netted it . Head was massive on it could have sworn when it came up on the water it looked like a 20 pound pike . Great first fish for the Gf. We both had a blast . Next time i will get her to hold it up
This is a great way to get a new / upgraded boat !

That's funny fishsniffer. That's how I got my new boat. Took the wife out in the old tinner top water bass fishing. She would scream every time one would hit. It was hilarious. And when we got back she said she loved it but the boat wasn't very comfortable. So I took that as, buy a new boat! Cheers!
