Officially put an end to my 2019 fishing season. The kayak is put up until spring 2020.
I enjoyed my time on the water. Worked on some techniques that I was not as confident in this year.
Some worked out, for example chatterbaits are in my rotation now. They didn’t always produce for me, but there were days where they produced both numbers and better sized fish.
Others not so much. I have had little luck with any type of top water - be it frogs, poppers, ploppers, or buzzbaits.
Next year I plan on trying to work in some more hard jerkbaits, lipless crankbaits and work on slowing down with a drop shot when the bite slows down.
To those that are still out fishing, or will be out when the ice arrives, tight lines and be safe.
