Target shooting, 22-250

Farmer and I took the 250 out this afternoon. Set pallets out with balloons stapled to them at 160yd, 190yd and 290yd. along with a target at the 290yd and 3 water bottles. We sighted in couple weeks ago at 100yds. We started at 290 and weren't doing to good. hitting target but low. I changed to the 190 range and went 3 for 4 balloons. Once all balloons gone at the 2 closer ranges moved back to 290, much better this time. I went 3 for 4 balloons, and 1 for 1 on water bottle. Switched back to target and did better. here the target with the last few shots.

I was having accuracy problems with my 250, I free floated the barrel and glass bedded the recoil lug. Made a world of difference. All my ammo were reloads.

That looks like a 9 inch group at 290 yards you should b able to get tighter like 3 maybe 4 inch or less with that caliber at that range try all different ammo till you find what works best . Shooting is a blast
