Hello all...new to the board.

Will be fishing the Parry Sound area for the first time in a couple of weeks. Thinking of downrigging the Sound for trout. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I haven't fished the Sound for about 5 years. They have a dynamite lake trout population, but double check the regs as some areas of the sound are cloesed year round.

This time of year, I would fish down about 50' over 75-100'. I found I had my best success with a good ol Williams black and silver, trolling as slow as possible.

You can only keep lakers less than 24", and there were a lot of days when I couldn't catch anything that small.

Have fun!
