Hoping to get up to lake Joe this weekend. Just wondering about the ice thickness on opening day.

I'm wondering the same. Has anyone been out yet?

We were out yesterday on Joe. We went on at Halls Rd. Lots of snow machines travelling the lake. There is a good 10 to 12 inches of ice in most places. Just stay clear of bubblers. There was a bit of slush as well so if you are thinking of taking a bike my advice is leave it at home. We watched a few bikes struggle to go and finally gave up. Fishing was ok, seen it better.

Good day. Can you still park on the side streets just up from the lake in Foot's Bay? Cheers
