I just came back from a weekend of fishing in the Kawarthas. Awesome weather and the fishing was HOT. Limited out on walleye both days and threw back many more, largest walleye were just under 20 inches. We also caught 4 smallmouths, 2 brutes at 4.5 & 5 lbs. Lots of panfish rounded out the catch, with a few nice crappie, but no real big slabs. Target depth ~15 fow. I will post more pics when my buddy sends them to me.. Here are a few for now from my camera.. Cheers, Jerry

Nice haul Jerry. I hope you weren't fishing Rice Lake because I'll be super jealous. I fished there on Sunday and got skunked (Walleye) for the first time in over a year and a half. I've noticed too that the weeds are very low. Saw some bright green weeds starting to emerge now. I hope that kick starts better fishing for me as it's been a tough summer so far for bass.

haha.. John, yes, that's a new sponsor.. I coudn't find my usual "Mike's Hard" fishing hat and just grabbed that one.. A computer geek fishing.. Just doesn't seem right..
Sorry for my delay in reply to this, I went on a fishing marathon on the weekend pounding the water day and night on the Trilakes and Rice.. Got home and passed out.. Exausting, but I don't get out to the Kawarthas much - so I fish like a maniac when I do.. Bucktail jigs were the top producers, ripping deep weedlines. Still waiting for pics from my buddy, i think he's still passed out..
