Wow... My first thoughts are poaching will increase significantly followed by "finally a point system"

This will be interesting to see how it pans out

The point system to earn a tag is still somewhat sketchy it seems.

But if you're in a group of 10 (10 guys for a guaranteed bull tag) that's been close to $600 paid out by the group.

Changes would make that: $200 (bull tag) + $350 (10 licenses x $35) + $15 (the group member with the most points/longest going without a tag). $585.

If every member has to apply it would jump to $700. ??????

And it everyone has to first apply, then it's a $150 investment for the group; if no one gets a tag from the group, your spending is done. $15 each.

A group with a tag could invite you and at that point you would have to spend the $35 for a license to hunt with them, .....plus probably promise to cook, clean camp, etc...... (LOL).

My question is will the license be for "moose hunting" any where(?) You could then hunt in several WMU and for months!

Unclear here.....

$15 to apply for the draw
$35 for license to hunt
$30 for calf tag
$150 for cow/calf tag
$200 for bull tag

Tags will still be wmu specific

I can’t say that I’m a fan of the pricing. May put the hunt out of reach for some hunters.

I think you will still have to apply to specific WMU's and your tag if successful will only be for that area/season.
