Old town topwater 120 pdl, Where to purchase?

I've decided to get myself a new fishing yak, and I belive that I will likley end up with either the old town topwater 120 pdl or a predetor pdl.

I just can't find one right now. I live in barrie, and can't find one anywhere around me.

Any suggestions.

Also, anyone have one and can comment on the yak and experience. Im a big guy, 6'4", 250 lbs plus. So a big stable yak is a mus.

LIV OUTSIDE Adventures in Bracebridge (not too far from where you are) may have OLD TOWN TOPWATER/SPORTSMAN 106 PDL and 120 PDL in stock.

Another one would be Fogh Marine in GTA area where I know someone just recently (two weeks ago) bought a new OLD TOWN SPORTSMAN 120 PDL kayak.

Yes, the current PDL model from OLD TOWN is called SPORTSMAN (Previous year's model is called TOPWATER)

PS: I am also interested in getting an OLD TOWN SPORTSMAN 106 PDL kayak (120 PDL would be a bit too heavy for me to handle:-)

And I say for your size/weight, the 120 PDL would be a better choice.

I recently discovered the Bracebridge store and put a deposit on a sportsman 120 pdl. Not in stock right now, but they are in contact with old town every Tuesday so hopefully I will have more info as to when I comes in by then.

The new sportsmen models look great.
only thing is I have a Garmin striker 7, and I don't see an obvious place to mount it. I know it has the two rails, and I guess it will end up there, just worried about it ending up in the drink.

Went for the 120, has a 500 lbs capacity. I just watched a video with a fella who is 255 lbs and when he pulled the drive the yak did not flood with water so that's re assuring.

And the yak usually just sits in my car hold, then gets loaded right into the back of my pickup, so the extra weight and length dosent get in my way much.

Regarding fishfinder mount, you can mount it on the gear track (rail), and the TOPWATER/SPORTSMAN kayak has dedicated place at the bottom to mount the transducer.

I have had my 5" and then 7" fishfinder on the rail on kayak for close to 300 times/outings (if not more) over the last 7 or 8 years, and I never had any concern about if the fishfinder will fall to the bottom of the water!:-)

Funny question (never fished out of a kayak but now started looking): You indicate that the kayak has a dedicated place at the bottom to mount the transducer. So, is it recessed somehow, or protected from bottom contact? Or is it sticking down below bottom of boat, and you need to remove it / lift it out before sliding into shore?

I guess what I'm asking is, are they designed to leave the transducer on, or do you have to remember to pull it before getting into the shallows?
