I happened to be in Orillia yesterday and went to Zehrs to continue on my fruitless search for canned green chilies which I use in some of my Mexican recipes. Seems to be a real shortage.
Anyways, as I walked through the meat dept., I saw a bunker full of whole briskets at $2.88lb --great price.
Damn, I'm short on freezer space, so I had to take a pass.
I'm not sure if this sale is at all Zehrs stores or just Orillia.
If you want to smoke a whole beef brisket, check it out.
Old El Paso chilis are the ones I have always bought.
I have tried most of the major food stores in Barrie and Orillia, with no luck. Everyone seems to be out of stock.
I just found out there is a Mexican food store in Barrie, so I will give them a try next week.
I had hoped to fish Collingwood today, but the wind conditions were pretty much the same as last Friday, so I elected to stay home as I didn't want to ride the roller coaster again.
