Well I stopped and bought 5 flat cabbage yesterday and all the fixings for cabbage rolls and cabbage stuff.
Made 115 or so cabbage rolls today and are now on the stove for next 6 years to cook. Will freeze them in packs of 8, which is what wife and I eat for a meal.
The cabbage stuff will come tomorrow. I got tired of throwing way all the centre's of te cabbages so started to make Cabbage stuff. Cabbage, octoberfest sausage, elbow noodles and same sauce pretty much I just for cabbage rolls. Almost better than cabbage rolls.

Hey Steve Sure looks good. Glad to see you are keeping busy. I replaced a load guide on the boat trailer today in the morning and then worked in the yard all afternoon. Should have gone fishing instead--lovely Fall day. Wind forecast looks good for Thursday. Ralph

Finally made our cabbage rolls this past weekend! 80 to be exact. All set for the long winter months, for some good hearty meals.🙂

Lord knows I love a good cabbage roll. Never thought to pre cook and freeze some. With that said, sauerkraut season is knocking on the door.

My wife is making cabbage rolls today. She has made them in the past and you cook your meat and rice before doing the rolls. This a new recipe where you do not cook the meat first and you use cottage cheese and a Tex-Mex cheese mixture. We shall see how they turn out. SDC

Ralph, i don't cook meat first all ingredients are raw until in pot to cook. I do partially boil the cabbage so it is pliable enough to roll. You going to have to let us know how the rolls turn out. Those are some strange ingredients for cabbage rolls..

I’ll 3rd it....
With all this cabbage talk I decided on sauerkraut for supper.
The wife and I made a homemade batch early November and bagged it on the 15th.
So it’s chorizo sausage, mashed spuds , bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers with kraut....
you boys have been killing me with those cabbage rolls.

Hi Steve
She cooked the rolls yesterday and we had some for supper tonight.
OK, but a bland recipe. Not enough seasoning in the mixture and the TexMex cheese on top just seems to get lost.
She would make them again, but would add more seasonings.
First pic is ready to go in the oven and pic 2 is out of the oven.
Please post your recipe here or send me a PM.
Ralph
