Went up for Christmas, average ice on the river was 8.5" and some people were pulling their permeant huts out. One of the back lakes I went too I was standing on 9" and there was a lot of water on top of the ice since it rained but the ice was solid black ice.

Got these 4 for the dinner table all 14-16" and managed to land a couple more after the sunset. Only managed to fish the one day so I wont complain. Ill be back up in that area end of January and planning on going for stocked trout and bass.
