Looking at heading north in Feburary and trying some ice fishing on Lake Temiskaming. I have never fished the lake before but have drove by it plenty of times. I was thinking of going out in New Liskeard but was wondering if there are any fish on the northern part of the lake or if they are mainly found else where. Also would I need a snowmobile to get to the good fishing grounds? Not looking for spots or anything just any tips you guys can provide about the lake since its a big body of water. Would like to fish for Walleye/Pike/Perch but mainly walleye.

lots of huts just off of new liskard just back this week ice was 12 inches or better. Fishing was slow but lots of small ones. Freedom tackle spoon was working well tipped with a minnow.

You could try fishing out of Haileybury too. Lots of huts there. They are closer to shore as it is a little deeper.
I would not wander over to the Quebec side for obvious reasons.
please share the reasons, fished Temiskaming for years as well as the Ottawa river, never had a problem fishing the Quebec shore line. Does the Quebec Army or the Quebec Navy blow you out of the water?????
