Nice! That's rather unusual,Lakers that shallow?
Not that unusual as lake trout can be found all over the water column in the winter .The small lakes i fish are deep holes spring fed from bottom. Where we were fishing we were sitting on the edge of a shelf that drops straight down to 60 fow.

My sympathy goes out to you Curt for not catching specs and 'only' catching lakers. (He said as he turns green with envy)
Still limited access where i fish rivers are open and swamps are soft travelling is done with caution and it looks like its going to be warm still for at least another week.
