You are totally ok to use the trail ... I use it to access sparrow on my quad if I take it ... snowmobilers only think they own those trails.. same thing if u use a sled you DO NOT need a trail pass for your sled for ice fishing

You are incorrect sir. You can on crown land but not anywhere else if it is ofsc trail. The ofsc maintains private land for snowmobile use only. They are responsible for insurance on these trails. Atvs are not allowed even for fishing purposes. You are correct that a trail pass is not required if you are using trail to access a lake but you must actually be going fishing and it must be the most direct route and only aspplies to snowmobiles. Same thing applies for licenced trappers.

Thing to remember is private land is not the same as Crown or public land. If the ofsc trail is on privately owned land and you access it without a trail pass or on an atv, then you are trespassing. The land owner can revoke permission to anyone including the ofsc if people use it improperly.

Hi Guys,
I'm not trying to get into a back and forth about who should/shouldn't, who owns what etc.
If I guy like me is using an OFSC trail to access a lake on my quad (nice and easy, not ripping it up) is it allowed?
I cant seem to get a straight answer.
Thanks in advance.
You should contact the OPP and speak to a member of the SAVE team for the area of this particular lake. They will know if that bit of OFSC trail is on crown or private land.
