Hey Trout bums what are you using to catch specks on lakes with no live or dead minnow rules?
Any tips would be awesome!!

I would recommend lures! Lol. Jigs with any gulp products have worked as good or better than live bait for me, for all fish species.

I love EGB's but if I could only bring two spoons for ice fishing specks they'd both be williams ice spoons - one in gold/orange and one in silver/pink.

And Jow, it might be worth it to double check the regulations. Most places that have an open ice season for brookies with bait restrictions are - live fish may not be used as bait or possessed for use as bait. Under that regulation dead bait is permitted - and it works.
