If you choose to go to any of the larger lakes around the muskoka area bring a spud bar ... I know mine has saved my reckless a#s. I dont know about the conditions right now. It was snowing hard yesterday around muskoka, I'm looking at more than a foot on most people's rooftops.
It doesnt hurt to have a plan B and perhaps a C.
Be safe, good luck and all the best.

You got it⬆️

There are places on big lakes that were 'just' safe, which no longer are, due to open water nearby, waves, and now snowfall accumulating.

People are gonna get wet this weekend.

I had to look ... as a nother member said open water nearby makes for risky conditions.

Got skunk its my first time fishing in this lake. The place i fish on its 5 min drive from ......... and just part on the boat launch. But there might be alot of fresh snow on the ice it was snowing hard when I Left.

You will get them next time! Lots of snow yesterday in a area nearby so I hope for cold conditions to get through the new insulation.
