Hey guys, I’m renting a cottage on Lake Muskoka this weekend. Staying at the point on Smith Road (Barlochan) my question is I hear a lot of talk about ice fishing Rosseau and a little Joseph but has anyone fished Lake Muskoka? I’d like to sneak our a morning or two when the wife and baby are sleeping to try for Walleye or possibly Lake Trout. Can anyone give me insight on if they have fished Muskoka before or even that area. Also i will be walking. Thanks guys appreciate any help.

Make sure you pack lite and wear rubber boots. There is a tonne of slush on the lake. Good luck if you make it out.

Should be pretty safe on foot in that area. If travelling around on a machine for the first time though lots of dangerous areas to stay away from!

I wouldn't be dragging a sleigh, it's nasty if warm temps with deep slush. Pack light and good boots.
