Finally got my fix, Four days on a backcountry lake

That’s a great report and a great adventure outdoors. It sure was a cozy looking camp.

But just to be clear.......you made a hole in the ice but didn’t fish???

Truly enjoyed your report. You seem to be very well equipped for such trips. Are you planning to do another one?

I was hoping that we might but didn't see any wildlife except for the occasional bird.

Likely not again this year --I want to spend more time fishing and my wife won't be able to get time off. It takes a lot of prep both before and after a trip and during the trip itself so there isn't a lot of time to spare for fishing.

Usually, I head up to Algonquin with friends for anywhere from 8-12 days; due to COVID, we couldn't do a trip this year. Hopefully, next year!
