Went to balsam last night, too much wind where I was on sturgeon. Fished sturgeon from 4pm until 9pm and my friend and I caught nothing worth talking about. Fished balsam from 9.30pm until 4am and caught a 38 inch pike on second cast, then nothing for two hours. The walleye showed up after that, a few to small to keep 15, 16, 17, 18, inches and two keepers. Weird thing was not one rock bass, first time ever I never had a rock bass there.

2nd walleye had a weird red mark on the side. No mark in the fillet. Gotta love this weather warm days cool nights perfect fishing. Going back to sturgeon with my friend at 4pm until walleye oclock or sunrise which ever comes first. Perfect wind for tonight.

Suspecting there was a delicious dinner
Yes family BBQ 3 walleye for early dinner. Now I am off fishing again to balsam this time to catch 3 more and maybe some bass and pike. I have had good luck so far, tonight I might not catch anything. I do not gamble but fishing is like going to a casino, you win, or you lose The longer you stay at a casino, the more money you lose. The longer you fish, the better chance you have to win....catch fish I mean. Catch lots of fish or sunrise, see what comes first.
