Well my son made salsa last week and gave me a jar. It was very good, so i decided that i should start making it. So today was the day, it is very tasty but turned out a little to liquidly.

I didn't grind tomatoes, I cord and cubed. I drained them 3 times before I put in pot. I used store bought tomato sauce. and I boiled and simmered longer than I was supposed to.

Then you did good.. Should be fine.. As you said a little liquidity..
I find there is almost nothing we can do about this. If it's been a rainy summer or wet during harvest, the tomatoes just retain more water.. We get the thickest sauces in seasons where we have a hot dry summer..
