There is this nice man that lets me fish on his property he has not been out on his boat all year. So gave him a free guided fishing tour of sturgeon. It was great he caught a few walleye small mouth bass and perch. I did not fish much I was busy listening to his 70 years of fishing stories. He was so happy and we will go out again soon I hope. Here is what he kept. Walleye was 19.4 inches.

After day shift fishing was over ran to the house where the family had dinner waiting. Ate. Changed. Said bye I love you. Then I was off for night shift fishing. Lots of rock bass as usual. Walleye caught six kept one 26 inches. Crappie caught ten kept one 12 inches the rest were only ten inches.

The family is eating fish for dinner again...Hope they save me some for when I wake up tomorrow. Earlier my friend called me to go out on his boat, I am regretting not going, he had 6 walleye and a muskie in the first hour out at lunch time. I do not have his whole day report yet. I SHOULD HAVE SAID YES. LOL... SON OF A Bi..... I mean Son of a fish/

Very cool! Nice pics and especially baby turtle.
The walleye is huge!
Hope your fall fishing marathon continues sucessfully.
PS. I was fishing yesterday afternoon and stayed about an hour into the night and watch and hear how some water animal was jumping out of the water and splashing loudly around, but could not see what it was as it was already pretty dark (it was around 8 pm)
Not sure who that might have been? maybe an otter? It was close to shore around weeds.

If they were big splashes was either a beaver I see them almost every time at balsam and sturgeon. Or an otter I see them only once in a while. Otters squeek and beavers sort of grunt and breath very loud out their nose. When the otter steals my minnows it sounds like a kid chewing gum as he eats the minnows.

Tank walleye congrats looks good on the plate.
That walleye was 26 inches and only 6 pounds. It should have been seven pounds. I have been noticing that there is so many fish under weight. I will see as october and november fall weather is here if the fish get back up to the weights they should be for winter. The walleye health is good but they need to start eating those thousands of frogs I see heading back to the lakes.

Thank you, very glad that I stayed for dinner. I was basically told the fish can wait a bit. EAT SOME DINNER. I swear when I am fishing, I forget about life in the real world.
