Was a perfect night to fish no bugs no people and I thought no fish. No hits at all nothing. No water movement of minnows or fish until 10pm then I got one. Then one an hour only until 2am then nothing again. Headed for home at 4.30am. All 5 fish were keepers brought 2 home. All fish caught on med size silver and black crank bait. The first picture the walleye had broken fin my fault.

Good job on joining the dark side. That is what I tell people that fish with me at night. I can't tell from your picture. How was the weight of that fish compared to the length. Did the fish look fat or skinny. I caught many walleye this week, and so did my friends in different spots. I would say 95% of the fish I saw looked skinny. My one friend kept two that should have been released, way too skinny. I was not with him when he caught them. I told him if he tries that fishing with me, he goes in the water with the fish as I am HELPING him release the fish.

Forgot this picture from thursday night. This is the same 26 inch walleye with a 12 inch crappie beside it. That is a big fat crappie but it sure does not look it beside the walleye LOL MY MISTAKE I guess I did post this picture thursday night. I do not know how to make it disappear.

To be honest, I don't really care much if my walleye is fat or skinny. I think the one on the picture was of an average girth (it was a 17-18 incher)

Not sure what lake you fish. You can try 50 to 60 feet off the shoreline in 6 to 8 feet of water from 12pm to 4pm. Jigging or ripping right into those weeds. It is hard work but the fish are there and hungry. Diving a crank bait or jerk bait into the weeds as well. You have to peel a lot of weeds every cast but hard work pays off. My friends caught walleye everyday this week at these times. I was only out one day to guide one guy. But we caught walleye during those same times.
