Monday night was freezing wow. got skunked basically. All the fish were to small or to skinny to keep. Tuesday I caught a bunch of walleye 13 or 14 but they were around 15 and 16 inches and not fat enough. Going back out later, going to be wet tonight but I hope that brings in some fatter fish. Last night was so beautiful out there. The full moon and wind was perfect and was not cold. Just no keepers, but I have no complaints. Fished with my friend that I have not seen in a year. Tonight fishing by myself. Stay safe.

You just HAD to catch all of the fish that were on a diet, didn't you?
I went out myself this morning for about 4 hours. Not much happening other than a perfect morning to be on the water. Caught 5 bass (both species) but they were all in the 12-14" range. There weren't very many boats out this morning, considering the lack of wind and decent temps. Water temp was around 57°. May try again this weekend before my procedure at Sunnybrook on Monday.

A bit concerned a lot of the fish were thin. That isn't usual is it? Hope it is not a trend or indicator of the overall health of this fish.
A long hot summer makes lazy walleye. Nothing to worry about. I am also very picky why keep a walleye just because its in the slot size. Next year it will be bigger. I am the same with crappie it has to be 11 inches or bigger before I keep it.
