Did not get fishing until almost 10pm. So windy and cold but I tucked myself into the trees and got lucky. No hits until after midnight by 1am caught three but they were around 19 to 20 inches. Then a keeper about 2am another keeper at 3am and one more around 3.30am. Fished until 6am with one more keeper so I let it go. One small SMB toooo small. I was casting out into 8 feet of water very shallow at my feet. Used these two crank baits that go down about two feet. Very slow on the retrieve. Most of the fish hit just before the shore 10 to 15 feet out from me where it was about 3 feet deep.

some really nice fish there. I'd never be able to spend all night out, I'd be sleeping on a rock somewhere well before midnight.

I work straight nights since covid started, and the cold keeps you awake this time of year. And the bugs keep you awake in the summer. Also my head is always moving to see what is sneaking up on me in the dark. I have ran into almost everything in the dark. My better half saw a bobcat in the back yard of the family house two weeks ago. There is so many animals that cruise around at night.

Excellent walleyes! Patience pays of !Good job!

Having fished a few times at night I know that after 3 am is the hardest time to keep awake and alert.

Yup sometimes it gets weird at night you think the fishing is over so you get bored then wham something hits your line. Could be as trivial as a rock bass but it wakes you up in a hurry. I always know exactly where the fish will be. I always know exactly when the fish will bite. I always know exactly what to use to make the fish bite. I always know exactly how many fish I will catch. I always know exactly what size of fish I will catch. I always know what species of fish I will catch..... So why is it then that the FISH do not.... ALWAYS EXACTLY COOPERATE....LOL !!
