I was hoping to get an earlier start but it was minus 5 when I got up. Oh well leaving now here is a picture of what I will be using today. Maybe pike pictures later. Maybe...for some reason I do not think today will be good. Maybe I should catch some giant minnows first...update later.

I like the idea of the big single hooks on the small crank baits. Good luck!!

X2 on the large single hooks. Crappeeeman, fishing in this weather, you deserve good luck.

SKUNK SKUNK SKUNK Not a fish in sight on such a beautiful day. Minus 3 when I started, then the sun came out and it warmed up to I think ten or eleven. Wind picked up a bit but not enough to wake up the pike I guess. Still a nice day to fish. This was only the second time in forty years that turned into a skunk at this spot. Now I only fish this one spot from October until it freezes. Better luck next time. Good luck out there and stay safe all.

Nice collection of jerks and cranks there!
Too bad the pike did not cooperate today. it was a tough non-friendly, non-pike fishing morning, that's for sure.

We also struggled today on lake Couch but we got a nice other catch...
See my report soon in Simcoe section.

Stay safe buddy, and good luck on your next fishing trip!

CM it is not to often we hear you use the Skunk word. I bet you forgot to dip the net, that’s what i always do, not sure if it works but i always say why take a chance.

The fish saw me standing there on the shore of the river. Stuck their heads out of the water and said not today crappeeeman. Next time I where camouflage.
