I only got to spend 4 hours on Toho this morning before being run off by a torrential downpour that wasn't in the forecast this morning!
I got the chance to fish a very large vegetation area that had to be 4 acres. It was generally 2-4' in depth with laneways that were 6-8' deep and devoid of vegetation. Most of the vegetation was hydrilla with some sections of pencil reeds, milfoil scattered everywhere and numerous giant sized lily pads.
I did manage to catch 4 small largemouth that averaged about 2lb. I watched one guide with a family of 3 catch what must have been 20 largemouth using shiners.
I don't mind getting a bit wet while fishing, but I was sitting on the bow and could hardly see my outboard!! Not my idea of a fun time!!
Next destination: Lake Wales almost an hour from my place. Lake Toho is only 15 minutes from my door!
