man you do good work. I have a question as I'm not a yak guy. All this has to add a lot of weight. Wondering what is the capacity of a yak. I know the 80lb thrust will have no issue moving it, just wondering about weight.
Sabmg if you go back to post 63 called permalink 63 you will see that I am good for 600 lbs. I will be at about 450 and that will include my gear and me.
It will be about balance.....After a test run I will see if I have to move the 24 volt batteries onto a rack right on the back to offset a 20 lbs difference in pounds between them and the trolling motor.

2nd question. will you leave your batteries connected to the charger all winter? I'm always trying different things to keep batteries good for as long as I can. The battery shop told me this year that to plug them in once a month. That batteries typically lose 1% a day sitting there. The last batteries I had came from the boat shop where I bought my ultera, they said to fully charge them, then just disconnect the neg cable.
As you have seen a few pics back I have a Noko charger......it is also a battery maintainer. It has three settings for type of battery ....lead acid.....AGM.....Lithium. This charger/maintainer is made to charge and maintain batteries especially Lithium. So initially it goes to full charge then when it is full it stops the charge and just trickle charges them when needed. They have been hooked up since last year as I never used the kayak all summer due to waiting for the motor. The charger is pricey but worth every penny. It also has a repair mode. All together I have 6 Lithium batteries around here that will sit idle in the winter months. the charger I have is a two bank, so does two batteries at once. I am going to get another charger with 4 banks then I can put all 6 batteries on at once.

thanks longfish, I have AGM batteries with a high end 2 bank charger on boat as well. I should have bought a 3 bank so could to my main battery as well, but hindsight is always 20/20. The battery store told me to charge to full once a month, so that what I'm doing this year anyway.

I put in the Directional button and will wire it maybe tomorrow. It tells the motor where it is globally and the direction the keel is sitting so it knows where to aim the motor. The Directional Button, the Helix and the Fishawk will not go on a switch but individual from the voltage regulator, to through the hull plugs so I can just plug or unplug them to get them to do double duty in the tinny.

Hope to maybe finish it tomorrow. All thats left is four plugs, from the 12 volt voltage regulator through the hull so I can plug in the Helix 10, Directional Button and the Fishawk and for the future Mega 360.
